Wedding Traditions

Polish and Scottish weddings are full of beautiful and unique traditions!

We’re excited to share them with you.

Family blessing:
A traditional family blessing will take place in the home at Kosibowicza 41, Sromowce Wyzne, it is only attended by close family.
Walk to the church:
From there, we will walk to the church, and you are welcome to join us! (The bus from the hotel can drop you off on the way.) We will be led by a traditional folk band playing violins.
Wedding ceremony:
The wedding ceremony will take place at the church in Sromowce Wyzne, and it will be a traditional Polish Catholic ceremony.
Polish wedding traditions:
The bride and groom (we) will be welcomed into the reception venue with bread and salt, we will drink champagne and throw glasses over our shoulders.

We are grateful for greeting cards and flowers but we would like to ask you to donate few £ that you would spend on buying them to support dogs in Polish and Romanian shelters. You for sure know that our creatures Pop and Nano came from there and those organisations really need support to carry on with their mission. We will have collection box at wedding venue
